  1. Thank you very much, I will definitely check them out. Sadly though it's going to be awhile before I can afford another pair. They do look like they're well made though.
  2. I'd emailed them twice with no reply, I actually got around to calling them and the guy told me that Cruiserworks has outsourced the soles and that that company is working on them now. He said he won't have any soles until the first week of August. So, I took them to Tandy asked the guy and he referred me to a guy about 20 min away. I went and talked to him and he said the heel supports? ( The cardboard type piece inside) was all bent and they were not salvageable. He said that even if he attempted to do it and spent 100 dollars they'd never feel the same and that I was better off buying new ones. He's been doing it for 30 yrs so I trust his judgement even if I hate it. Feels like losing a best friend. Thank you for your help just the same.
  3. Looks like I posted a couple pictures more than once, I apologize folks. I know bandwidth is a precious thing. Originally they were owned by a couple who ran it out of North Carolina and they had the resoling subcontracted to another company. You could send them to either place to get resoled. Since I lived here it was cheaper to send it to North Carolina and have the husband do it. He called and said he wasn't sure if he could but he would try, then all that stuff happened with the ownership and since the couple hadn't gotten any word on what to do with their current repairs and were told to "piss off" they sent them back. Don't get me wrong, I like wearing my Chucks but I love wearing my boots. The only reason I'd sent them in was because I'd put a hole in the sole of my left one and they were pretty worn. If any of you can or know of anyone that can help, please let me know. I'm going to take them to my local Tandy shop and ask them if they know of anyone.
  4. Sorry about that I was having camera issues. Here are the pictures
  5. So I have a pair of Cruiserworks boots that I love dearly, I sent them in for resoling and the owner called me back and said they weren't worth repairing because the heel cups were shot. They were sent back without soles or heel cups along with a letter, it appears that there was a change in ownership and the new owners want nothing to do with the previous ones and there wasn't a place in plan for their current projects. I've since been unable to get ahold of them and I really want to salvage my boots if at all possible. They mean a great deal to me. Please let me know what y'all think about possibly repairing them. Thank you
  6. Hi y'all, I'm extremely new to leatherworking so I figured to ask y'all if what I'm thinking is even possible. I know that when making moccasins or moccasin boots, it's typical to use light weight leather. Do you use the same leather for the sole as you do for the sides and is it possible to make this type of boot waterproof?
