This is an ultra low cost solution: I don't know which abrasive would yield a satin finish... sand at the lowest grit, maybe moving up through aquarium gravel, ball bearings or screwdriver bits (!) as the instructable suggests. http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-a-Ball-Mill-in-5-Minutes/
