Whew, not everyone jump in at once...

Hey guys! I have decided to pick up this lovely new hobby they call leatherworking. I am mainly only interested in making various leather armor, I dont larp and im not in any re inactment groups, it just seems fun. So I got a tandy leather place down the road, here in san antonio. Any advice on what I need to get started, also what type of leather is commonly used for leather armor? Im kind of a viking and gladiator fanatic, and I like "authenticity"
