To give you a little back story: I have been sewing on my Pfaff 1245-706/47-6/01 for about a year. Everything I have done has been self taught so it has been a uphill battle. My machine came with 140/22 needles that have worked great for the material I have been using. I'm now at the end of my supply of needles and order new ones what I had thought were exact replacements based on my machine and needle size (140/22).
When they arrived I noticed that they are shorter than the ones I have been using by a 1/4 inch or so. I tried one of the new needles and they do not work properly, they don't go down far enough to grab the lower thread. I have included a picture below to show the difference. The needle on the left is the needle size the machine came with and the needle on the right is the new needle. The blue package is what the new needle came out of for reference.
My question is, what needle do I need to order to get the correct length? I have scoured the forum and google looking for a definitive answer and cannot find one. Any help would be appreciated. Please excuse the ignorance
