Thanks, Camano Ridge!

Just curious as I'm a noob to leatherwork and this process seems promising... a quick question: I understand that the oil (EVOO or Neatsfoot) is applied after tooling and before finish, yes? If that is accurate, how long to wait after applying oil until its optimal to apply the finish? Thanks so much- I've learned a ton already and have barely scratched the surface here.
