  1. So, complete novice here. My first attempt at a project involved a six strand round braid over a cylindrical core. I noticed that my edges looked sloppy. I bought an edge beveller at me local leather store and tried it out with miserable success. I have a #3 beveller working on 3/4 oz finished black leather. I'm trying to bevel the raw side so the edges lay flatter, but all it does is rough up the edges, I cant get it to cut a strip out and bevel nicely. The most I've been able to do is shave bits of the fibers off in clumps without really bevelling. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks for any advise.
