Hey everyone, just wanted to do a quick intro. I'm Dave from Atlantic Beach (Jacksonville) florida.
brand new to leatherwork. I just picked up a few basic tools (swivel knife and 6 stamp set) the other day to start learning. My local Tandy shop owner is very cool, explained alot of things to me and said dont hesitate to call or stop in if I have questions.
Main reason I got interested in leather work is because i'm building a sportster chopper and want to build my own seat. I see Beezachopper is a member on here, i know his stuff from The Horse chopper messageboard, really nice work that cant be fully appreciated until you've tried to tool some leather.
So if anyone can point me in the right direction to some simple patterns that I can carve and stamp out and some good step by step tutorials for beginners that would be great. I made an attempt at tooling a celtic type dragon taht came out sorta ok.
