Hello, new to the forum here. I found my way here because I had a vise hanging on my woodshop walls for years. I never quite knew what it was for but I admired its construction with the boxwood swivel nut and the wooden screw. It had RD Randall Co. CN stamped on one of the arms so I did a search and found my way to this forum. After poking around a bit I was able to find out its a harness vise. Does anyone know about the history of this type of vise. Is anyone here in need of such a vise? It's just been hanging on a wall for 20 years might as well go to someone who will use or appreciate it. I'd be willing to trade.
