I carry IWB regularly. For small, flat guns add 1", for full size guns and revolvers add 2".

Hi, first post here, but longtime surplus gun collector. The Beretta 92 is based on the 1951, the main difference being in the grip area [single stack vs double stack mag]. If you can compare them, they may be close enough to use a 92 as your form.
