  1. Hi Ken, The clasp is only two pieces. The top piece has the hole and the solid piece is the back and has the turn affixed to it. My assumption is that the solid piece with the turn gets riveted to the bag and the part with the hole to say the strap. My problem is that when closed in this fashion there is a gap between the two pieces of metal of about a 1/4 inch when closed. I was just wondering is someone who knows this particular clasp has some idea if this is the way the clasp should work. I'm used to tight closures and that 1/4 inch is driving me nuts. Neil
  2. Obviously if I rivet to the bag and the closing strap it works but there is it supposed to close as a loose fit. There is about a 1/4 inch gap between the cover and the turning mechanism when closed. I'm used to a tighter fit so now I'm wondering if perhaps it's supposed to be attached some way I'm just not seeing. I doubt its supposed to go through the leather but it might. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
