  1. Thanks so much for your comment! This was my first ever handbag. I came up with an idea and cut out. At the time I only had 2mm round leather cord, so I used it to sew up the sides etc. I've been considering re-sewing with a different leather that I just got in...this is just the kick in the pants that I needed to accomplish it. I need to look around for the dowel idea, not sure exactly what you mean. I really like the off color natural edged leather as it kind of softens the bold print. All in all it worked out pretty well for a first time project. I'll re-post the edited version as soon as I finish it! Again, I really appreciate the feedback!
  2. Hi ~ Wow....you've got a great resume and I'm sure a ton of wonderful stories to share ~ my dad was an avid trapper and sold the skins....always wondered about the hide process. Welcome...I've been a member for a few months but just started to be more active! Welcome!
  3. Just wanted to say hi and stop lurking in the background ~ Had a chance to meet a few wonderful people in the chat and just wanted to say hi and thanks for all that you've shared so far...It's helped me get through a few projects. Just posted some of my work in the gallery ~ Melinda
