Definitely keep me posted on your progress. I've been so busy with other things, I've done little in the way of leather work lately. I need to comb through my old photos and part some of my work to my profile. What kind of projects are you looking to do?

I'm in Hamilton Square. About 15 minutes east of Trenton. I'm happy to hear you've ordered some tools. Leatherworking is am incredibly rewarding pursuit. I'll keep checking back on your progress. Welcome to the fold.

First Motorcycle Seat Rebuild-Progress

I'm planning on recovering a 2up mustang seat i found in a dumpster. I want to redo the foam because it absorbed some of the wonderful aromas of its resting place. Did you use a kit with precut foam, or buy the sheets and mold them yourself? I'm thinking about using memory foam over polymer gel, but it's all just research at this point. Whenever I watch figure carvers in action they always seem to have colored bands on their tools. My guess is that it's to organize them for easy selection. Does anyone have any insight into this organizing method? Do you have a method of your own to keep your tools organized that you could share with us?

Eric, Would you be willing to part with one of those 50 machines in your factory? There aren't a whole lot of leather sewing machines here in NJ. -Mark
