  1. Hi, I'm just getting into men's leather jackets, and wanted to get some advice on which machine to buy. After reading through the threads, two machines stuck out: Techsew 2700 Juki 1541S As you guys know, both are compound walking foot machines. But, one has a cylindrical head; the other doesn't. Not entirely sure if the cyclindrical head would be ideal. But, I've read in some previous posts that cyclindrical heads were more versatile. With that said, though, the important things I'm looking for is a machine that doesn't mark the leather and that's accurate enough for one to sew rows of evenly-spaced topstitches. Down the road, I may get into thicker weight leather for motorcycle apparel, if that helps to know. Also, considering jackets use lighter weight leathers, do you think a regular, non-walking foot machine could be used? I currently use a Juki 8700 (non-walking foot). Any opinions? Thanks so much!!!
