Thanks for the info KurseD! A mudflap didn't even cross my mind. I have a buddy that is a parts man for a truck supply company picking me up a mudflap on Monday.

Hey all! I am in the middle of doing a repair and restoration of a set of vintage saddlebags. The back of the saddle bags have this hard rubberized material. It is really tore up and on one side. It has been worn to much to sew the leather back to. My question is does anyone know where you can get this material, they use for the back, or maybe a substitute? Thanks
