  1. I used a knife similar to your Osborne for years cutting leather. I now have a round knife and wonder why I didn't get one a long time ago. Pretty tough to beat a round knife for cutting out leather IMO. Watch Tandy's round knife how to video.   2. Thanks Cyberthrasher, I tried the method on a piece and it worked well. It even removed most of the odor.
  3. A friend gave me a double shoulder of 9-10 oz burgundy colored veg tan leather. Unfortunately he had kept it in a damp basement and it has white mildew on both sides of it. Any suggestions for successfully cleaning it? I was thinking a good scrub with saddle soap.
