Hello!
I have been reading these very nice and informative forums for a few months, and thouht that now it is the time to say hello! I am pretty much self-taught when it comes to leatherwork and have so far mostly been making knife sheaths, small pouches and stuff like that for my own use. Right now I'm experimenting to improve my stitching and edges.
Here is a knife I made recently: It has a 6" stainless blade and the handle is made from buffalo horn, leather, and nickle silver. The sheath has a wooden insert which contains the blade, with the diamond lapstone stored hidden behind the knife in a slot between the insert and the leather.
Coming projects are a binocular case, a belt, and probably a few more knifes if I can find the time for it.
Cheers!
