  1. As soon as I finished it I wanted to start another one. In making the pattern, I pulled a string over the gun and measured it, adding that much to the pattern for the back. I added 2-1/2", I think 2" would have been better, it didn't fit quite as tight as I like. Next I want to get a couple of speed loaders and make a pouch for them.
  2. I picked up a Ruger Redhawk Kodiak Backpacker right before Christmas and wanted to make a holster to carry it with. Because of the weight and size of the revolver I also needed to make a belt to support the holster. After looking through this forum I decided on a pancake style holster. Here is what I came up with. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. I had the most trouble with the boning and getting the pre punched front and back of the holster to line up when I glued them together. I think also I will make it a little shorter next time as there is about an inch of holster sticking past the muzzle.
