Hi Henning Nice to find someone on here so close to me - I am in Randburg, just on your doorstep :-) I am new to leather work, and to JHB, so I have no idea where to buy the things I need to make my dog a collar. Another kind member has offered to email me information, but I was wondering if you would also mind giving any advice on the best place to visit for belt strips/straps and hardware, if you know of any? Thank you!

Hi all I live in South Africa, and have just moved from the coast up to awesome Johannesburg! Joining a leather working site is probably a bit premature, seeing as my entire leather work experience consists of a lanyard and a failed phone cover, but I'm hoping to learn a lot from this site. I'm interested in making my dog a leather dog collar and a leash, but being new to Johannesburg, I have no idea where to look for the leather strips or the hardware. Any fellow Joburg'ers out there who could point me in the right direction? I'm in Randburg, North West. Thanks, and it's great to join such a friendly community :-)
