Thanks for the welcome everyone :-) I've mainly done star wars costumes, jedi, x-wing pilot, mandalorian armour. But I'm now working on a Bellatrix Lestrange costume from Harry Potter, and her corset is something I'm looking for some help with :-)

Looking for some advice please :-) I make costumes for myself, and I'm currently working on a Bellatrix Lestrange costume from Harry Potter. The leather corset she has is quite detailed, and I'm not entirely sure how it was made for the film. The oval shapes by the lacing on the corset look like they are cut out or carved in. I have made one, but I think the leather I used is too thick - 3mm. Here's some pics of the original I'm trying to recreate, Any advice greatly appreciated! Thankyou :-)

Hi everyone I'm Sarah, I've not long started dabbling with leatherwork and have signed up to the forum to learn more! I've made a couple of holsters, some leaf bowls, and a belt so far.
