Thank you. I was thinking maybe shoes. Was going to look at some shoe building references. I have some interest in this so cool to find the tools.

I recently acquired these two tools along with some others. One tool (tool No. 1) appears to be some sort of edge skiver. It has a a smooth face very sharp blade. There is a edge guide on one side. Tool No. 2 has a corrugated kind of face and and edge guide. I have know idea what it is or how to use. Please help .

How do you shear shearling down to a shorter nap?

I am wanting to buy some cantle pliers. I know from one thread I read here that some folks buy other alternative pliers. Others modify such pliers. Can someone speak to the quality and function of actual cantle pliers made by Osborne or the Jeremiah Watt brands? Are they worth the investment?
