Bill god knows we need the rain, I have seen the cutter your talking about they still use them at the pip printing there used to cut the mats or pic.. frames # 1 you couldn't hold a hide of leather in place and cut it with one of them most leather is 7 to 12 oz that most of us use and we have a pat. pending on this the tricky part was keeping the leather from moving when the slide cutter came across to cut and thats when we used the earth magnets to keep the bars from squiggling and it keeps a nice straight edge. I think $750 will be the price I think we will be selling them for 750. and it will not leave a impression on the leather its all done with earth magnets so the system just clamps to itself

I have sold and sewed on both the problems with the union is you can sew on it one day and the next day you will work on it for the next day to get it to sew now the 16 is a much better machine I have one IM keeping for myself 10 to 1 I would have the 16 over the union lock

Hi IM showing off my new leather cutter its made with earth magnets the magnets are hidden in the tubing every 6 inches apart and also in the cutter there are 3 that's how the cutter stays on the tubing as well and on the back were it mounts to a table there 2 small dove tails that screws to a table and you can loosen the 2 large plastic knobs and slide it to the right or the left and it comes off the table to get it off your work table it will cut a 2 oz. up to 15 oz. and its all set up for a one man operation the handle comes up over center and locks open so there's no danger of someone getting a finger stuck in it I have cut rubber paper vinyl leather ect. and its 8 foot long but can be made smaller This would work for those who use a jake sheer and a straight edge to block leather and for a strap cutter I hope to sell it to saddle Co. small mom and pop shops for Let me know what you think. oldcowpoke@charter.net Jack423 571 1364www.oldcowpoke.com to take a look at our machinery
