hello folks and of course ladies, i´m a newbie from austria and i´ve been interested in leather working for a long time, did some covers for my longbow and my wifes longbow and then i caught the kinfemaking bug as for me part of the process of making a knife is making also a sheath i dug out my few leather working tools and started working with the advice of some books i bought i have a long way to go, but practice will pay its price, as always! here are some of my works, hope you enjoy the beginners pieces! greetings from austria belabear

@beandon afraid only the garden variety mushrooms.. ;o) @rayban yes i inserted a strip of 4mm leather as a welt but i have to confess i have copied the design from legendary knifemaker bo bergmann´s book on scandinavian sheaths, turned out not so bad at all greetings from austria belabear

i´m very glad you like it! especially as it is just my third sheath the wood is called satin wood, has a creamy golden, yellow colour knife was on order for a friend´s friend with really big hands :biggrin: greetings belabear
