Howdy!  I realize that your post is a few years old, but I have recently purchased a 1541S and I'm experiencing the same problem. In five years, I have never had to reset the clutch on my LU563, but, after a couple of hours of sewing fine, this machine jammed up. I have taken the hook apart and reassembled it a half dozen times. It ran for a few minutes, then jammed up again. Looking inside, there are two "fingers that hold it in place. No matter what I adjust, they just don't reach enough to hold the hook /basket in place. There isn't a mechanic within two hours of here and I definitely don't want to spend hours in transit and hundreds of dollars, to fix a new machine. I'm waiting for a call from a "mechanic" from the place I bought it, but not feeling too hopeful. Did you resolve your problem?
