Well, I finished up my Ruger SR9 pancake holster this morning. There are still a few little details with the stitching I'm not a fan of, but I've got some new punches coming in the mail and the next holster I make should have better aligned stitches. So far it fits great, and all my nitpicking aside, I'm pretty happy with it. I saw that midwestislander has uploaded some pics of some new holsters today. I really liked his design, so I'll have to give that style a shot someday.

Hey thanks, builderofstuff. I was trying to keep the holsters generally in-period with the guns that I made them for, I'm glad you noticed that. I based the Webley off some really old sporting holsters I'd seen and the Bulldog's holster is inspired by the old clip-on holsters detectives used to wear in the 50s and 60s, only without the clip.

Well thanks, Feraud. Well, that was just sort of joke at my expense. Back in my days at gunsmithing school, I was generally known as the guy who brought in these oddball guns to work on.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, so I just thought I'd make my introductions. My taste in sidearms tends to be rather eccentric (some would even say unusual), and so sometimes it's rather hard to find a holster that fits certain pieces in my small collection and looks right to me. The first holster i'd made was an old fashioned belt holster for my Webley MKVI service revolver. Next, I made a western holster for my little Heritage Arms .22, and a simple holster for my Charter Arms Bulldog. All 3 are pictured below. Admittedly, theye are all far from perfect, but they fit my needs and each presented its own challenges and learning experience. At the moment, I have another design in the works: a pancake holster for my Ruger SR9. At some point in the future I'll also be making an old fashioned belt holster and a vertical shoulder rig for my 1911, but those are way on the back burner.
