i have a nice leather shirt i want to put rattle snake hide up each front side over breast pockets and down the back. i have the hides and they are tanned they measure 5x 50

how would you glue tanned snake hide to a old sportster tank if i soak em and get them softened up will they stretch and mold to the tank?should i overlap the seams im going to seal them with fiberglass resin in a pressure chamber after they dry .if need beany suggestions.THANKS will
