Thank you Sona and Karina, I wasn't sure if the oil tanned was the leather or the finish applied to the leather, but it makes sense to me now. I appreciate it.

Greetings, I'm a complete neophyte to leather work and appreciate any help offered. In looking around online, I've noticed a few pieces finished in a way that appeals to me. I was wondering if those more knowledgeable could tell me what this finish is and how it's done. When I've seen it, the only description is "oil finish" and I've Googled that, but the results have to do with caring for an oil finish. I've attached a couple of pictures to show the finish I'm talking about. Any help or direction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Kevin
