  1. Hello, this is my first post here after visiting a few times while researching this machine. It belonged to my father and his father before him. The machine was a workhorse up until the 1970's when my grandfather closed his leather shop. My dad commandeered it and continued to use it on-and-off making holsters and knife sheaths (mostly for friends). My father passed last year and now my mother is downsizing and would like to sell it. The machine is in excellent working condition and my dad repaired a friend's saddle just a few months before he passed. Here's what we know about the machine: - British United Shoe Machinery - Originally imported via Canada (John O'Flaherty Co.) - Serial Number #5472 - Wax pot appears intact - She will include the bobbin winder and T-handle adjustment wrench She's looking to get $2500 for it based on what he told her it was worth a few years back. We'll probably list it on ebay but thought we'd post it here first. Any comments about it are welcome. Thanks for looking! Marc
