I did reach out to the dealer to find out what the difference is. This was the answer " The Machine for Upholstery has been modified and optimized for sewing through drapery and other upholstery materials such as canvas. These modifications are as follows. No Speed Reducer, Modified needle and walking foot timing, and different feet for upholstery.
The description didn't make it clear that the upholstery machine had so many changes
I don't think the changes sound like they will be worthwhile even with the lower price. I am going to go with a different dealer and a Factory standard Cobra Class 18. I don't have a lot of experience with machines and don't want to deal with a machine that isn't factory standard and will be harder to troubleshoot if needed.
