Hi everyone. I am greener than green in leather work. Have been learning from Ian Atkinson and Nigel Armitage on YouTube. I purchased Nigel's pouch pack and have been struggling trying to find the leather he recommends which is 4 to 5 oz dyed shoulder. Everyone seems to be out of stock. My question is can I just purchase veg tanned shoulder and dye the leather before assembly? Montana leather seems to have good prices. Would you recommend them? Thanks for the help. Excited to get started.
