Actually I woke up this morning and it's not coming through anymore. Im guessing the contact cement was slightly wet in some areas and ended up wetting the leather. I guess giving some time to dry up properly solved the problem. Thanks for the reply though! as for your question, Im not too sure of the thickness but if i had to guess I would say 1/16" inch thick.

hello, first time leatherworker here. I tried glueing leather to a panel of plywood using contact cement and it seems that the glue is penetrating through the leather in blotches. How can i fix this and how can i prevent this from happening in the future? thanks in advance.
