So I have been talking with one of the Chinese 441 Manufacturers and getting all the various charges figured out and I think I might do it, The machine looks exactly like the Cobra Class 4 or Cowboy CB4500, Might even be the actual manufacturer of those machines? I am taking a shot in the dark but I am going to save $1,500 if everything is as I have figured so far, but even if I save less than that I'll be happy. I have no problem putting things together, troubleshooting and tuning, If I can save money, I'll put the time in. Wish me luck!

Thanks guys, I think I have decided to not risk it.
-
Well, I bought the Cowboy from a private party so I have no experience with either company.
-
Just need a second machine for do the same things.
-
I currently have a CB4500 and it works great but I am going to add another machine and I have to wonder if the Cobra Class 4 is any better? ( I was also asking about the 441 clones direct from china in another thread). If everyone had a choice between the Cowboy or the Cobra, What would you choose? I am a Holster Maker by the way. Thanks

Wow! Lots of good info, Thanks!

Has anybody purchased one of those 441 clones on like Alibaba straight from china, they appear to be the same machines as Cowboy or Cobra but straight from the manufacturer and about half the cost with shipping. H1615d807738f44d29c510ee20233aff2L.avif

You guys are correct, I fiddled with the motor and figured out the settings. It has 3 different modes, 1-you can adjust speed, 2-you can adjust rotation direction and 3- you can adjust slow start from 0-9 with 9 being the slowest start and that was what it was set on. Thanks for your help Guys!
-
Thanks! You wouldn't happen to know where I could find a manual for it, Would you? The slow start program theory sounds possible. And it doesn't really whine like a bearing whine, It's more like the sound of the electric motor turning on but turning real slow for a couple seconds before fully takes off. Kinda like a GRRRRRRRRR and then goes. Thanks

I removed the belt, pulled straight down on the go lever and found no little button or dial on the control box and it still does the same thing. My servo motor is the one with the digital read out and you adjust the speed by up and down buttons. Not sure what else it could be, Any more ideas?

Thanks for the replies guys! I will try these things tonight after work.

I just bought a used Cowboy 4500 that was purchased new in 2018 and I have what might be a problem. When I press the go pedal the servo motor kinda whines and rotates real slow for about 2-3 seconds before it starts to go at normal speeds. It's almost like it's being held back or having trouble getting going. I have lubed the machine, adjusted the belts, etc. and everything spins nice and freely by hand. Or is this normal? I'm not used to this type of machine, I learned on Campbell-Rand machines at Milt Sparks. Thanks

If you’re familiar with the line “Wear noodles” then you’re familiar with the Chinese GA5 machines. My question is, can a dog feed machines like these 45K clones be converted to a compound triple feed? Thanks
