  1. Hi, I'm new here and fairly new to leather working too. I have made a number of holsters and knife sheaths over the years, but more out of necessity than desire for bettering myself and my skills. I have come to the realisation that I need a stiching clamp. I don't have room for a full size stiching horse (wish I did, it would make life easier), So I need to make a knee supported version and I have a couple of questions. 1) does the spring tension for clamping come from the bent wood or from your knees or some ratio of the two? 2) I haven't seen one with a cam lock system, any thoughts as to why... too much force would mark the work, perhaps? 3) should there be some sort of foot board that allows one to pin it to the floor? thanks Rusty
