Ok I know it took a couple of coats of paint to get it like it is in the pic. I didn’t know if the paint would show up if I dyed it darker.

Making a bag for my daughter and it has a butterfly on the front that I am going to paint. Questions is do I dye it first then paint or paint then dye?

Craftsman827 - I watched a video where the guy used this tiger thread, it was a while back and I couldn't find the video again and I couldn't remember the name of the thread. Definitely going to try this stuff out. What size did you get? It shows a 0.6 waxed white and a 1.2 waxed white.

Can anyone identify what kind of thread this is? New to leatherworking. The one I made I used white waxed linen thread and the final project came out nice but the threads are dirty looking. I want that white to pop out. Also the cord used to lace it up looks stretchable, anyone know where I can get some of this?
