  1. This is a sheath for a 7" santoku style kitchen knife I made for my sister. The stamped secondary wrap encloses 2 large neodymium magnets on either side that serve to keep the knife in the sheath without additional hardware (snaps, etc) that could compromise the knife edge upon draw. Also, it hangs on the refrigerator ot steel kitchen surfaces for convenience during the cooking process.
  2. This is my first time posting, have seen a lot of great work on the forum since I started checking it. This is a matching holster and mag pouch that a friend had me make. I used 3-4 ox leather with brown suede lining attached with barge on the inside both. I used Tandy Tan colored antiquing and then airbrushed the sunburst look with straight black oil dye. Black waxed braided medium thread hand-stitched. Finished with neatsfoot oil, saddle soap and a couple coats of sadlle-lac spray
