  1. My sewing machine sews angled stitch on one side, straight on the other. If I was hand stitching, I think I'd like to do something different - straight stitch on both sides...otherwise it would look machine stitched? A
  2. Hmmm, yes, I agree It looks to me like some leather piping in slightly different colour, covered with gum "whatever", and burnished, and sewn in. I'll give it a go - the original bag is something like 15x13cm, but I want to make a bigger version of about 25 X 30 cm. A
  3. Yes, it could be. Thx. Will experiment a bit. It just had that glazed amorphous look to it, which made me think of a properly finished leather edge, but I think I've "overthought it"! A
  4. I'm wanting to make something like this.. but I note that it has an unusual style of "piping" down the middle of the flap. Has as anyone any idea how to do this? thx in advance Andrew A
