'Thanks Bob, very happy with the machine. I have It almost ready. Whit suspended guide, the extra large handle for presser up the, flat needle plate, feed dog without teeth...Almost ready. Only need some needles. So difficult to buy needles in Spain, only can find LR points and need to buy minimum 50 needles... I would like to buy some S and LL points for make straight stitches, but difficult and must to buy 100 needles per size...So, a small fortune if want to buy some sizes too... This is the beast: -
Hightex / Cowboy CB3200 Problem with Presser lift
Miquel replied to Miquel's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I have enlarged the arm adding a piece of metal. Now the lever law is working efficiently. Of course, must to make a hole on the table for pass the chain. Now, with the feet can go up the presser foot without any effort. More control too, due that no need to make big effort and you know exactly what amount of strenght are using. Before too much strenght and loss the control, then the chain can be broken... I just put again the stronger spring on the lever foot assembly. No need to put a weaker one. Just a little bit of work, no need to make anything with the machice, just unbolt two bolts and re-bolt again with the added arm. -

Hightex / Cowboy CB3200 Problem with Presser lift
Miquel replied to Miquel's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Have neither problem with the machine nor the dealer. All is Ok. I am just new with the machine and need to know how operate It. I think That I broken the chain because despite that arrives to the top I still was pushing the pedal. So ,certainly I think that needed too much strenght for go up, but I have changed the spring for the other one, still strong but a little bit less than the other and goes better. Just need too to be familiar with the machine using it. Nothing else. Besides, i haven't the standard table from the CB3200 , I have another one. So, need to locate all the things for develop a good job. The machine is great and all is ok. The dealer too. No problem with him. Refer welding this piece, well, this is not bad, but there is not any problem. Would be better for save strenght to enlarge this small arm, but if the lenght is the same, then, same strength need to do welded or with two bolts. Finally this part is working as a unique piece...This is my feeling. -
Hightex / Cowboy CB3200 Problem with Presser lift
Miquel replied to Miquel's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Hi, thanks for your replies. Yes, If the presser litf is up by hand, then the presser foot lift is free. I have contacted the dealer. Have said me that the CB3200 model have a different system than the cb4500. The Cb4500 have a excentrical system for the foot lift . The CB3200 haven't. This is why is more difficult to up the presser by foot with the cb3200. Said me that i can remove the spring of the presser system, oil all the mechanism , and check wether all the movement goes freely without the spring. Then, I can replace the spring for another spring included in the machine. This one is weaker than the other. So, probably, now, the problem is that the spring is very strong and need to put a lot of strenght for go up. Besides i always have had machines with excentrical system for up the presser foot( by feet), so, Need to take confidence and skill for give no more strenght than the thing need. Otherwise the chain will fly on!!!! -
Hi everyone, Finally I have bought a Hightex / Cowboy CB3200. I have a problem with the presser lift Foot. With the handle, I can go up the presser feet with no problem, but with the foot lift I have problems. So much strenght for go up. Even i have broken the chain two times, so sad... Anyone know what happen??? Any Suggestion???

Hi Pinto, do you know If your motor is slower than 500 R.P.M ??? Do you know how slow can work your motor??? Would like to know wether your servomotor type is slower than the brushless chinese servomotors...¿¿??? I can find this kind of motor in UK , I am Actually buying servos, in Spain, that goes to 500 R.P.M. I need to add a reducer pulley system for go slower. Hi dudes, I have a new machine, It is a 45K clon, made in Spain. The machines goes well but I don't like the stitch. I would like to make it more straight. I am adjunting tensions, but I can achieve better than the stitches that show bellow photos. I am using 2,5 to 3 mm thickness leather. The needle is 160 sizes ( I put a photo) , I am using Gutermann tera 10 thread. Any suggestions for improve the stitch? I would like to be more straight, Thanks in advance.

Hi Folker, Finally i did not buy the Claes, i was woried if i need some replaces. Today i have bought the Consew. I have found IT for 500 euros, with clutch motor, but goes Very slow, even still Can change the pulley for An smaller one. I think that now, for me, would bé better use thinner thread with the consew than goes for a more vintage màchine.
