Ok...I'm not exactly new to leather work. I've made dog collars, belts, wallets, moccasins, a deerskin dress, leggings, bags, knife sheaths and more. I've done a lot of tooling too.
I just saw a video where this guy made leather flip flops. He applied satin sheen and then applied leather conditioner. I have never liked the satin sheen myself. I just don't see the point of the stuff. I prefer buffing or burnishing to that garbage. Any way, my question is doesn't putting a finish like satin sheen inhibit the application of a conditioner?
