  1. Thank you for your advice, I'll look at the hook and see if it's timed properly. I noticed today that often when the machine skips a stitch the thread ends up on the wrong side of the needle. It seems like the loop is forming, but twisting back around the needle instead of staying on the side of the hook.
  2. Hi, although I'm a brand new member I've been finding good information on this forum for years. Currently though I'm stumped, and I thought I'd ask for some advice. I do most of my sewing on an Adler 205-64 with the Ferdinand Bull modification. Lately it has decided to start skipping a bunch of stitches, and I'm at a loss for what it is. I have a basic knowledge of machine maintenance, and I would like to become even more comfortable working on my machines. I know already that there is not a lot of information on my particular machine other than parts diagrams and such, so I'm looking for a recommendation for any source of information on sewing machine repair. A good book or web series would be ideal since I can't really take the time to go to an actual class. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
