I have tried to add a pic, file is too big.

The needle is set as far left as it will go. The machined area in the arm where the shuttle rides is worn so I'm looking for a ballpark clearance so I can fabricate a round shim to get the shuttle back where it needs to be.

Hi All, New member here. I have 2 of the old 29-4 machines And love them. My question for the experts out there, does anyone know how much clearance there should be between the needle, in it's down position, and the bobbin shuttle ? Mine actually touch each other and I know that is not correct.
