  1. Here is a picture of the back when wet following my water spraying. We can clearly see two wide lines (indicated by the 2 red arrows). On the front side of these 2 lines, the leather is smooth and aside of these lines the leather has marks as shown in my first picture. And the lines are accordingly with how the hide was rolled. My guess is where the leather is smooth, it stays wet way longer than where the leather is marked. So is my leather dried where the marks are?
  2. Just in case it could help, here is the label at the back of the hide.
  3. Hello, I have a few rolls of leather, whole cow hides of thickness around 1.6mm and bought from surplus for private jets upholstery. I don't know why some of the hides have weird marks as you can see in my picture. I guess it wasn't stored in good enough conditions. Could someone give me some possible explanations of the why it became like this and mostly if I can do something to improve this? (my finger is to give an idea about the dimensions of the marks) (I sprayed water on the back of the leather and it seems to improve it, maybe at the point to remove the marks. Is it a bad idea to do that?) Thank you! Pierick
  4. I think I found how to reach the screw: instead of opening a door at the rear of the machine, it seems to be on the front aside the stitch length lever. edit: yes, I confirm this screw is the one allowing to move back and forth the needle bar to center the needle through the feed dog hole
  5. Hello, Would anyone have a manual or any information about this sewing machine? I have one but found nothing about it. Thanks, Pierick
  6. Hello, I am following the video (parts 1 and 2) from YouTube about the Consew 206RB-5 maintenance to be sure my 206RB-1 is well prepared to sew because unfortunately very few video and documents are available about my model. I have to say I am a beginner and I have an awful lot to learn. At 27:00 in the video part 1, it is explained how to center the needle in the feed dog hole. Unfortunately, this doesn’t apply to my model. I checked if by any chance I could have this information via Uwe (who is impressive, thank you Uwe for all your amazing videos and contributions if you read this) video about the juki lu563 but it doesn’t apply to my 206RB-1 neither. I wonder if someone could tell me how to do it and more generally I’d take any technical information about my machine and store it preciously in case I’d need it later. Yes, I am a beginner, but I think I fell in love with sewing machines and especially old ones. They are amazing. Another thing which is amazing is this website and all your contributions. A lot of you are amazing too! Thank you!!! Pierick
