  2. I just acquired a Pfaff 345. I'm very familiar with sewing on a home sewing machine. I am used to hand advancing the needle on a regular machine for the first stitch or so or to place the needle exactly where I want it. That is very difficult to do on my Pfaff. Is there a trick to it? A lever, a button? It's a piece of cake when the belt is off and not connected to the motor, but when it's on and using the motor, it's almost more than I can turn. Thanks in advance for any advice.
