Hi guys, I am making a holster which I dye black but want to use white thread. I keep trying and I get bleed over into my stiches. I have tried dying and letting dry then stich. No go. I then tried dying and sealing then stich still no go. What is the trick I am missing?

Hi guys, I have search for my answer but have had no luck so I will throw it out there. I have a Cobra 4 and I am sewing with bonded nylon with 277 top and 207 bottom. I am using size 25 diamond tip needles because they came with my machine. Seems to work ok but I do have some dropped stiches where the thread seems to get caught up on the leather. Could it be that I am using the wrong size needles?
