I wanted to gain an insight from experts, and stumbled upon this forum.
I purchased a sofa which uses full-grain Italian leather from Maharam. It's semi-aniline dyed that's 1.4-1.6mm thick and the hides average 50sq ft in sizes at least. I noticed throughout the sofa, there are a few natural markings. I'm just curious if this is something that's acceptable. The leather in question retails for $17sqft, and the sofa itself was $10k all said and done.
I know leather is natural and has natural markings, but I'm just curious if this would be commensurate of the high price I paid.
