Thanks! That is what I needed to know to make a start. I will start looking into these. I didn't know if that size was something fairly standard.

I have a Mast Foot Press #11040, by MAST Harness Hardware. They are no longer in business. There is a setup guide, and a list of dies. Unfortunately, there is only one punch and no other parts. Is it possible to get dies to fit? There is an adapter listed that converts a 5/16" hole to a 3/8" hole, so I am assuming that we would need something to fit the 5/16 hole. Obviously, I am not familiar with these pieces of equipment. Does anyone have suggestions for finding parts?

The tumbling sounds good. That is easy to try. It has been hanging for about 3 months and looks awful. It is soooooo wrinkled. Thanks

It has been hanging for about 3 months. I would like to get most of the wrinkles out. it is pretty bad. I will try to get photo. thanks I wondered about something like that. I assume it would be better from the back side. Thanks

I was given a beautiful russet deerskin. However it had been stored, folded, in a storage box. It is very wrinkled. I tried to hang it from the top, hoping the weight might help, but no luck. Any suggestions?

I have a tack business, and sell sheepskin saddlepads. I suggest to my customers that they should wash with "PePeDe" or "Leather Therapy" wash. They are formulated for leather.
