I'm working with a nice piece of white semi-aniline matte reindeer leather (from Kero leather) and I've noted that the pigment layer is quite sensitive to abrasion.

I've tested two layers of Tan-kote followed by wax but I'm not sure that it protects enough from wear.

Do you have any other tips for a good finishing / coating combination to protect it? I want to retain the matte impression and avoid darkening. It does not have to be water resistant.
