Beautiful! I like the round braid, too. Adds to the elegance of the clean design. Thanks for sharing! (you do make the blades, too, don't you?)

I have to ask...what kind of wood? And do you have a forge? I know NOTHING about axes; but that one is beautiful! The leather work is terrific but that wood and axe head just knock me out!

thanks for the nice words,the wood is Tiger Maple, and yes i have my own forge

this piece started as a round bar 1 1/4" in dia. its great we get to play in the fire,

beat on things and nobody yell at me :fire:

I am in complete awe....I doubt many know the time, effort and skill that goes into creating such a piece of art as that! The curly maple is outstanding....and probably rather pricey in piece with that figure and size. But that axe head is simply beautiful. The leather work sets everything off perfectly. If you were to sell something like that, can I inquire as to the price? Hope that isn't too personal.

Is that "get togather" in March primarily for knife making, leather work, or both? I'm just over in Pensacola but, am pretty new at leatherwork.

Regis,the get together is mainly geared toward knife making,i hope to have

a sheath maker here for the weekend to demo,wont know for sure until closer

to the get together,either way we will cover some leather work (sheaths)

thats about all i know how to do,you are more than welcome to come over,
