Tido Report post Posted August 6 Hi everyone, I was recently recommended a post bed machine from China: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/QK-901H-single-needle-direct-drive_1601024796540.html he said he loves the machine, and it performs well. It got me looking at other machines on Alibaba, and I came across this one:https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/HK-810-820-Single-Needle-double_62375246927.html which looks like a Techsew 810, and is much cheaper. I am sure the first one is much more robust, but I am wondering if the second one is good enough. I am getting into shoemaking, and the Chinese patcher just isn’t making the cut ,so I am looking to upgrade. Unfortunately, I don’t have $2-3000 to spend on a brand name machine, so I am looking at Chinese ones. My question is whether anyone has experience with Honkon, and their general recommendations for a Chinese post bed. It seems like the Techsew 810 can do shoe leather, but is it strong enough for boots? Is the Honkon likely to be as robust as the Techsew? All information and other recommendations welcome.
