WaG35 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Well I can't call this an original design and there are still things that I need to improve. I am not particularly crazy about the boning on this one and I need to figure out how to do something other than black. But all in all, I am pretty happy with this one. It is a hidden loop design made out of 7/8, molded by hand, Feibings USMC Black with Feibings leather sheen also brushed on. All stitched by hand. I really should have dyed this piece before assembly, as there was some spots that I couldn't get to afterward. As far as comfort, this is probably the best holster I have ever worn. I wore it around the house for a couple hours tonight and forgot that it was there. I don't know if the pics will show it very well, but I picked up a basketweave stamp at Tandy over the weekend so I did the reinforcing strap around the mouth. I think this holster would have looked cool two tone. I did some practicing with Feibings Mahogony stain because I was going to do the basketweave that color, but I couldn't get an even finish. So Black it is. Critique away fellas.

Jordan Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Also "nice work" interesting loop construction only thing I can see is the upper shield area could be a little wider and taller, unless it's just an optical illusion in the pic.
BOOMSTICKHolsters Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Nice job! Every holster you make is an improvement over the last one. BTW, a plain old q-tip goes a long way towards reaching those areas that seem impossible to get to.
WaG35 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Thanks guys. I don't care for the body sheild, as it looks kind of small. But it was bigger to start with and I trimmed it because it rub on my fat hand on the draw. Thanks for the tip Boomstick, Q-tip that is.
