Hello - Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread on the Singer 132k7 or continue with this thread?

I'm currently restoring a 132k7 and have a number of issues I'm trying to resolve. The machine was in a terrible state but thankfully no more! The stitch length now works as it should do having cleaned the cams. However, when set to the maximum length the feed dog (Small one) hits the feed dog plate. The max stitch length I think is 14mm? I did remove one of Cam rods in order to clean it but didn't take a picture of before removing it. I'm pretty sure I re-installed it correctly as it can only go one way having tried it. Do i need a different feed dog plate?

The needle comes into contact with the hook! Have ordered some new needles (214x1) as I'm not sure if the needles that came with the machine are the correct specification. I noticed there was a "tight spot" when rotating the hand wheel, turned out to be the main bearings/shaft under the small inspection cover that needed to be cleaned.

I am a sewing machine collector and have restored a number of machines, but the 132k7 has been the most challenging to date 🙂 Finding a service manual for the 132k7 is no easy task, but still searching..

Any help would be appreciated with any of the above..

Thank you.
