Hello,

I have a Singer 96k12 industrial sewing machine.

Stitch lenght numerator is not working.

As I read from the 96K12 pdf, stitch length numerator is defined as "thumb screw" "D",and reverse lever is defined as "E". as can be seen from the photo.

I demount thumb screw part but I couldnt assemble again.😢(I have spring, lock pin and numerator disc)

Reverse Lever E is connected with fork type metal at the inner side (neck )of machine

My question is;

What will be the key points for this assembling?

Is there any correct position of "D" and "E"while assembling.(D at max or min)

Or any other important thing like this.

Thanks

Can you post photos and/or videos?

I don't have a machine like this for comparison. Perhaps by seeing the actual parts someone will be able to suggest how to put them back together.

I found one of my mistake and corrected. But there are still problems.

I was trying to attach numarator disk(56032) without removing the screw rod(50338). First I removed 50338  from machine  and then attached 56032 to it. After that insert them into machine ,then pin and spring.

Now, numarator part is working but although I attached the reverse pedal connector(52409) to the fork type metal part(52408) when I try to start machine,  reverse pedal lever drops down and stitch moves backwards.

I think there is no suitable connection between reverse lever and numerator part. How can I do this? 1.jpg.6844811129a3dfca06416f0ed8fee7c3.jpg2.jpg.34023aafea0523702762861500a3f485.jpg

Do you normally press the reverse lever up or down to achieve reverse feed?

Check whether there is a separate spring attached to the reverse lever for holding it up. Perhaps it disconnected when the thumb screw was removed.

I bought this machine 2 weeks ago. I havent used before.

Stitch lenght dialer was stuck at first. I remove it and all the story started. 😢

I have lots of reserse mechanism machine but none of them resembles this.(Brother Ls2b837-DA669-Singer 196k5).Even the most similar one is 196K5 but when I press reserse in 196K5 it bounce but this has nothing. Also by turning the stitch disc, reverse lever should go up or down but this is motionless.

Since its weight, I dont want to move the service

May be I should try to change assembling order of parts.
